User interviews are a key part of setting up user research at Beaconstac.

In the past, we conducted user interviews for specific projects, aiming for a regular schedule of four interviews per month, but this was not always achieved.

The next section will explain how we did user interviews for a specific project. This project focused on creating messaging and positioning for Beaconstac's QR Code product. The template I'm sharing became the starting point for all user interview projects at Beaconstac.

Step 1: Goal

Identify the purpose of the study. What do you want to learn more about?

Identify the groups to focus on. Usually, these were our customers who paid for different plans. However, there were times when we also interviewed in-trial prospects who were still trying out our product and had yet to start paying. The decision on who to include in the study depends on the specific objective.
